Favorite Products in the iOS Mobile App:

Favoriting a product provides a quick way to shortlist content on the MediaStore website and in the mobile app, making it easier for buyers to record the content that they are the most interested in.

 

To favorite a product:

  1. Log in to the MediaStore app on your iOS device
  2. Scroll or search to find the product you want to favorite
  3. Tap the favorite icon ⭐ at the top right of the screen

To review your favorite products:

    1. Log in to the MediaStore app on your iOS device
    2. From the Home screen, tap the profile icon 👤
    3. Tap Favorites1

Create a new Ad or Pre-roll:

Pre-existing video content can be defined as an Ad and assigned to a main asset: see Assign an Ad or Pre-roll to an Asset.
To upload new content to the MediaStore as an Ad or Pre-roll, follow the steps below.

 

  1. In the navigation sidebar, go to + Create New > Asset
  2. Drag and drop or browse your files to upload your video ad or pre-roll
  3. Select Ad in the Type field
  4. In Main Asset, choose one or more parent video assets for the ad or pre-roll to screen with
  5. Select an Access level
  6. Complete the remaining metadata fields (see: Upload an Asset for details) 
  7. Click Finish

Define a Video Asset as an Ad or Pre-roll:

To assign a video as a pre-roll sub-asset, it must be defined as an Ad in the Asset Type.

 

  1. In the navigation sidebar, go to Assets > All Assets
  2. Scroll, search or filter to find the video you want to use as an ad or pre-roll
  3. Select the asset to open a preview
  4. In the preview panel, check Asset Type
  1. Go to the Metadata tab and click the edit icon ✏️
  2. Scroll down to Asset Type and select Ad
  3. Click the save icon  💾 to finish

Assign an Ad or Pre-roll to an Asset:

A video must be set as Ad in Asset Type before it can be used as an ad or pre-roll. See: Define a Video Asset as an Ad or Pre-roll.

 

  1. In the navigation sidebar, go to Assets > All Assets
  2. Scroll, search or filter to find the video you want to use as an ad or pre-roll
  3. Select the asset to open a preview*
  4. In the preview panel on the right, click View Details
  5. Go to the Videos tab
  6. Click Assign Videos to choose parent video assets for the ad or pre-roll to screen with
  7. Select the parent video assets from your MediaStore library in the Videos field

     Optional:

  • Add additional ads or pre-rolls to screen alongside the selected videos.

     8. Click Assign to finish

Manage Ads and Pre-rolls:

  1. In the navigation sidebar, go to Assets > All Assets
  2. Scroll, search or filter to find the relevant main video screener asset 
  3. Select the asset to open a preview*
  4. In the preview panel on the right, click View Details
  5. Go to the Ads tab to review assigned ads and pre-rolls
  6. Click Sort
  7. Drag and drop items or use the arrows on the left to set the playback order
  8. Click Save to finish

Create a Shell Asset:

To prepare an asset’s metadata and settings before the file is ready for upload, you can create a shell asset.

 

  1. In the navigation sidebar, click + Create New
  2. Select Shell Asset
  3. Enter an asset Name in the field
  4. Select a File Type from the list 

     Optional:

  • select one or more Products to assign the asset to
  • select Marketing Use1 (available once assigned to a Product)
  • choose from Shareable, Download, and Protection Levels
  • select Restricted to flag as embargoed content in the Client UI
  • select file sub Type for more detailed categorization
  • choose Access level needed to view the asset (defaults to Company)
  • define a source asset Language/s
  • select a market region in Target Geography
  • choose a Status (defaults to Available)
  • add Notes for internal use
  • flag as an AI Generated asset 
  • select Save As Preset to replicate these settings for future uploads
  1. Click Create to finish

Manage Audio and Subtitle Sub-Assets:

  1. In the navigation sidebar, go to Assets > All Assets
  2. Scroll, search or filter to find the relevant video asset
  3. Select the asset to open a preview*
  4. In the preview panel on the right, click View Details
  5. Go to the Audio tab to manage audio tracks or the Subtitle tab to manage subtitle files
  6. Click the three-dot settings menu on the relevant audio or subtitle sub-asset

     Optional Settings:

  • Unassign from asset: remove from the main video asset1
  • Recommend: share the sub-asset with a contact via Recommendations2
  • Download Original File (Browser): download the sub-asset (useful for MediaStore-generated sub-assets)
  • Edit: update metadata details
  • Change access: modify access settings, including scheduled changes
  • Assign to Asset: attach the sub-asset to additional main asset/s
  • Upload File: re-upload the base file without changing settings or associations
  • Reingest: reprocess the original base file 
  • Upload Preview: add or replace thumbnail
  • Delete Preview: remove the thumbnail
  • Export to MediaBench: share with the mediafellows review & approval tool
  • Archive: hide from sub-asset list without deleting

Upload Audio Tracks:

Existing audio tracks can be assigned to a video asset as sub-assets: see Assign as a Sub-Asset.
To upload audio tracks directly into the video asset, follow the steps below. 

 

  1. In the navigation sidebar, go to Assets > All Assets
  2. Scroll, search or filter to find the relevant video asset
  3. Select the asset to open a preview*
  4. In the preview panel on the right, click View Details
  5. Go to the Audio tab and click Upload Audio Track
  6. Drag and drop or browse to upload additional audio tracks

     Optional settings:

  • Select Preset: Load saved upload settings.
  • Show in Player: Make the track available in the Client UI.
  • Shareable: Allow non-admin users to share this sub-asset.
  • Download: Allow users to download from the Client UI.
  • Restricted: flags as embargoed content in the Client UI.
  • Asset Name: Rename the audio track (defaults to file name).
  • Access: Change file access.
  • Languages: Define the source language.
  • Target Geography: Select a market region.
  • Status: Set a status.
  • Purpose: Select the audio track use case.
  • Label: Enter a label for display in the video player.
  • Notes: Add internal-use notes.
  • Save Preset: Save settings for future use.
  1. Click Upload to finish

To upload subtitle files directly into the video asset, follow the steps below. 

 

  1. In the navigation sidebar, go to Assets > All Assets
  2. Scroll, search or filter to find the relevant video asset
  3. Select the asset to open a preview*
  4. In the preview panel on the right, click View Details
  5. Go to the Subtitles tab and click Upload Subtitle
  6. Drag and drop or browse to upload subtitle files1

     Optional settings:

  • Select Preset: Load saved upload settings.
  • Show in Player: Make the subtitles available in the Client UI.
  • Shareable: Allow non-admin users to share this sub-asset.
  • Download: Allow users to download from the Client UI.
  • Restricted: flags as embargoed content in the Client UI.
  • Asset Name: Rename the sub-asset (defaults to file name).
  • Access: Change file access.

Generate Subtitles:

A source language must be defined first to enable automated subtitle generation: see Define Source Language.

To upload an existing subtitle file, see Upload Subtitles.
To generate subtitles with a pre-defined source language, follow the steps below. 

 

  1. In the navigation sidebar, go to Assets > All Assets
  2. Scroll, search or filter to find the relevant video asset
  3. Click the three-dot settings menu to the right of the asset name
  4. Select Generate subtitles
  5. Select the original audio track from the drop-down menu in the Source Asset field
  6. Select one or more languages for translation in the Target Languages field 
  7. Select a service for original language subtitles in the Transcription Service field1
  8. Select a service for target language subtitles in the Translation Service field1

     Optional:

  • Enable Show in player to include subtitles in the video player; disable to generate as sub-asset files only.
  1. Click Generate to finish 

 

The system will then begin process the request, and you’ll be notified by email once your subtitles are ready.
